Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar, mayonnaise, egg, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Add flour gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
- Shape dough into small balls and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Create a small indentation in the center of each ball using your finger or a teaspoon.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Remove from oven, spoon a small amount of hot pepper jelly into each indentation.
- Return to oven for an additional 2 minutes to set the jelly.
- Serve warm or at room temperature garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
