- 1 cup chopped fresh apples
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Stir in chopped apples, flour, and salt until just blended.
- Fold in chopped pecans.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute walnuts or almonds for pecans.
- Keep leftovers stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
