- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup crème fraîche or heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken chunks, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Transfer to a baking dish.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until tender. Add chicken broth and cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir in sour cream and crème fraîche, then pour the sauce over the chicken in the baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and heated through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use full-fat sour cream for a richer sauce.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice for a complete meal.
