Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and melted butter. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover dough and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape each into a ball and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Mix minced garlic with a little melted butter. Brush over the tops of the rolls.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over each roll, then add chopped parsley.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
