- 8 oz (225 g) of spaghetti or your favorite pasta
- 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Return the cooked pasta to the pot and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can add cooked chicken, shrimp, or vegetables for extra protein and flavor.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and cheese with nutritional yeast.
