Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz. spaghetti or your favorite pasta
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 lemon, sliced (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Reduce heat to low, pour in heavy cream, and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce, toss to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Notes
- Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Serve immediately with fresh parsley and lemon slices for added flavor.
