- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, tossing well to coat evenly.
- Garnish with chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- You can add cooked chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
- Adjust spice level with more or less red pepper flakes.
