- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Meanwhile, warm marinara sauce in a skillet over medium heat.
- Transfer cooked meatballs to the sauce, spooning to coat evenly. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over meatballs and cover until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot with crusty bread or pasta.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
