- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 package (16 oz) potato gnocchi
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil, chopped
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté sliced Italian sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add chopped onion and garlic; cook until fragrant and translucent.
- Add chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Stir in gnocchi and cooked sausage. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until gnocchi are tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, until heated through and slightly thickened.
Notes
- You can substitute turkey sausage for a leaner option.
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free gnocchi.
