- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add milk and Dijon mustard, stirring well.
- Gradually add shredded cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce. Toss well and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, add cooked bacon, sautéed onions, or a sprinkle of paprika on top before serving.
