- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Brush chicken breasts with the balsamic marinade and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese melts and chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken in balsamic mixture for extra flavor if time permits.
- Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
