- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully separate the cabbage leaves, blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add ground meat, cook until browned. Stir in cooked rice, diced tomatoes, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place a scoop of filling onto each cabbage leaf and fold to wrap tightly.
- Arrange the cabbage wraps in a baking dish, pour remaining tomato mixture over them.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until bubbly and heated through.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with turkey or plant-based meat for a healthier version.
- Top with shredded cheese or fresh herbs before serving for extra flavor.
