These easy cabbage roll wraps are packed with seasoned meat and rice, wrapped in tender cabbage leaves, and baked to perfection for a hearty, nutritious meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully separate the cabbage leaves, blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add ground meat, cook until browned. Stir in cooked rice, diced tomatoes, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place a scoop of filling onto each cabbage leaf and fold to wrap tightly.
  6. Arrange the cabbage wraps in a baking dish, pour remaining tomato mixture over them.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until bubbly and heated through.
