- 1 (32 oz) bag of frozen tater tots
- 1 lb ground beef or cooked chicken
- 1 can(10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook ground beef with onions until browned; drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix cooked meat, soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
- Spread meat mixture evenly in a baking dish.
- Arrange frozen tater tots on top in an even layer.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the tots.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute cooked lentils or vegetables for the meat.
- Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated before baking.
