Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Add diced apples, folding gently to distribute evenly.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon sugar on top before serving.
