- 4 large pita breads
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- Fresh vegetables (bell peppers, tomatoes, red onions, spinach)
- Fresh herbs (basil, oregano)
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place pita breads on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
- Spread marinara sauce evenly over each pita.
- Top with shredded cheese and your choice of vegetables and herbs.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is crisp.
- Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Feel free to customize toppings with your favorite vegetables and proteins. For a vegan version, use plant-based cheese and add pepperoni-style veggie slices.
