Instructions
- Peel and mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix in the mashed bananas.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Add nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 60-70 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack, then slice and serve.
