Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme chopped
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Olive oil for searing
Instructions
- Pat pork chops dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter, garlic, and thyme to the skillet.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, spooning butter over the pork chops.
- Remove from heat, let rest for 5 minutes, then serve garnished with additional herbs if desired.
Notes
- Ensure the skillet is hot enough to achieve a good sear without sticking.
- Use bone-in chops for extra flavor, but boneless works well too.
