  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (dissolved in 2 tablespoons water)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the beef and set aside. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Mince the garlic cloves and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and dissolved cornstarch. Set the sauce aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vibrant green and slightly tender.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the beef and broccoli. Toss to coat evenly and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Notes

  • Feel free to enhance the flavor with additional garlic or herbs like Mediterranean seasonings.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute soy sauce with tamari.
  • Use lean cuts of beef to make the dish healthier.
