- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 package of frozen tater tots (about 32 oz)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef or turkey in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until translucent. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked meat with cream of mushroom soup and sour cream, mixing well to create a creamy filling.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese and meat mixture, covering the entire surface.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
