Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs (680 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into chunks
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Wooden skewers or metal skewers
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning; skip this step if using metal skewers.
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
- Toss chicken pieces in the marinade and let sit for at least 30 minutes for flavor absorption.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, spacing evenly for uniform cooking.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on skewers during the last few minutes of grilling, allowing it to melt. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Ensure even spacing on skewers for consistent cooking.
- You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts for more juiciness and flavor.
- Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes, but for deeper flavor, marinate up to 2 hours.
- For a smoky flavor, grill over charcoal or wood chips.
