- 1 pre-made pizza crust
- 2 cups caramelized onions
- 1 cup Gruyere cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook slowly until golden and caramelized, about 20 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Spread caramelized onions evenly over the pizza crust.
- Sprinkle shredded Gruyere and mozzarella cheeses over the onions.
- Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with additional thyme if desired. Slice and serve hot.
