Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup canned peaches in syrup, drained and chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Optional: glaze or cream cheese frosting for topping
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and yeast. Warm the milk to about 110°F and add it along with melted butter and egg. Mix until smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 10 minutes.
- While the dough is rising, mix chopped peaches with cinnamon and brown sugar to prepare the filling.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll into a 12×8 inch rectangle. Spread peach filling evenly over the surface. Roll tightly from the longer side and cut into 8 equal slices.
- Arrange the slices in a greased baking dish. Preheat the oven to 375°F and let the rolls rest for a few minutes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Optional: drizzle with cream cheese frosting or glaze before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the milk is warm enough to activate yeast but not so hot that it kills the yeast.
- Use ripe, sweet peaches for best flavor; drain excess syrup if using canned.
- Cover loosely if the rolls brown too quickly during baking.
- Adjust cinnamon to taste for a milder or more spiced flavor.
