Juicy meatballs are coated in smoky bourbon BBQ sauce, topped with crispy bacon and melted cheddar cheese, all nestled in soft buns for a satisfying cheeseburger experience in just 30 minutes.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slider buns or hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices crispy bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: pickles, sliced onions, lettuce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated. Form into 1-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 15–20 minutes until cooked and browned. Meanwhile, cook the chopped bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, pour bourbon BBQ sauce and bring to a simmer. Add the baked meatballs into the sauce and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Toast the slider buns lightly. Place 3-4 meatballs on each bun, spoon sauce over, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and top with crispy bacon. Add optional toppings like pickles, onions, or lettuce.

Notes
