- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slider buns or hoagie rolls
- 6 slices crispy bacon, chopped
- 1 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional toppings: pickles, sliced onions, lettuce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated. Form into 1-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until cooked and browned. Meanwhile, cook the chopped bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour bourbon BBQ sauce and bring to a simmer. Add the baked meatballs into the sauce and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Toast the slider buns lightly. Place 3-4 meatballs on each bun, spoon sauce over, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and top with crispy bacon. Add optional toppings like pickles, onions, or lettuce.
