A quick and flavorful spicy chicken bowl featuring crispy fried chicken coated in a creamy, spicy sauce served over rice with fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Toss chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Fry chicken in hot oil until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  1. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar to make the spicy sauce.
  1. In a large bowl, toss the fried chicken with the spicy sauce until well coated.
