- 2 cups orzo pasta
- 1 pound chicken breasts, sliced
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook orzo in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken slices with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add bell peppers and garlic. Cook until peppers are tender.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet and mix with the sauce. Add cooked orzo and stir well.
- Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- This recipe can be made spicier by adding cayenne pepper.
