Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash ripe bananas until smooth. Add honey, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and aroma.
- Adjust the honey amount to control sweetness.
- Add a tablespoon of yogurt or applesauce for extra moisture.
- Do not overmix after adding dry ingredients to keep the bread fluffy.
