Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices of hearty bread (sourdough or Texas toast work great)
- 4 slices of crispy bacon
- 4 large eggs, scrambled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)
- Butter, for spreading
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, avocado, hot sauce
Instructions
- Fry the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, crack the eggs and scramble until fluffy; season with salt and pepper.
- Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
- Place two slices, butter side down, on a skillet over medium heat.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously on each slice, then add scrambled eggs and bacon on one slice.
- Top with the other bread slice, butter side up.
- Grill until the bread is golden brown and cheese melts, about 3-4 minutes per side. Press down gently to ensure even toasting.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
- Reheat in an air fryer to preserve crispiness; avoid microwave if possible.
- Experiment with adding sliced tomatoes or avocado for extra flavor.
