Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz (340 g) spaghetti noodles
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup whole milk or heavy cream
- 2 cups cooked chicken or Italian sausage (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant and translucent. Stir in cooked chicken or sausage if using, and cook until heated through.
- Reduce heat to low. Add softened cream cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Slowly pour in milk or heavy cream, stirring continuously to create a velvety, rich sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce. Mix in shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with additional cheese if desired. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
- You can add sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor and texture.
- For a quicker protein option, use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken.
- Sprinkle crispy bacon bits on top before baking for added crunch.
