- 1 cup apple cider

- For the caramel glaze: 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup heavy cream, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Alternately add flour mixture and apple cider, beginning and ending with flour.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the cake cools, prepare the caramel glaze by melting brown sugar, heavy cream, and butter in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled pound cake and serve.

- For extra flavor, add chopped pecans or apples to the batter before baking.
