  • 1 cup apple cider

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Alternately add flour mixture and apple cider, beginning and ending with flour.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. While the cake cools, prepare the caramel glaze by melting brown sugar, heavy cream, and butter in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled pound cake and serve.
